- The Cap Top (Rubber Rim Cup): A custom-shaped pocket fitted with soft, airtight rubber perimeter seals. It physically clamps against the underside of the printhead faceplate.
- Peristaltic Suction Pump & Motor: Driven by a small DC motor or gear linkages, this pump squeezes internal silicone tubes to pull a vacuum through the bottom of the cap top, forcefully draining old ink out of the printhead nozzles.
- Auto Lift/Slide Gear Mechanism: A gear track that raises the cap up flat against the printhead face when the carriage homes, and lowers it completely away before the scanning motor starts a print pass.
- Wiper Blade Assembly: A soft rubber blade built into the station edge that physically swipes excess ink and fiber lint off the nozzle face during a cleaning cycle.
