- Air Trapping: As ink flows from the main supply, trapped macro and microbubbles rise naturally to the top of the sub-tank cavity instead of travelling down into the printhead channels.
- Pressure Stabilization: It regulates both positive pressure (for purging) and negative pressure (for printing meniscus control), decoupling the printhead from the hydraulic weight of the main ink lines.
- Ink-Level Monitoring: Equipped with electronic sensors or physical metal float type switches to trigger automated top-ups from the main tank when ink drops below safe operating levels.
