- Material: Chemically inert plastic polymers such as Polypropylene (PP) or PVDF. Unlike base metal switches, high-grade plastic sensors resist chemical corrosion and gumming when exposed to harsh solvent-based or reactive UV inks.
- Working Principle: Magnetic Reed Float Switch. As ink fills the sub-tank cavity, an internal donut-shaped plastic float rises up the 71 mm shaft. Once it hits the upper magnetic threshold, it closes the circuit to signal the printer's motherboard to shut off the automated refill pump.
- Electrical Connection: Typically wired with a standardized 2-pin female terminal block configuration for easy plug-and-play installation on printhead carriage boards.
